Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make an appointment with Beaches Lash Co?
We prefer online bookings please. Visit our Bookings Page to see the availability at your chosen salon. If you are looking for last minute availability, we often advertise these in our Instagram stories or you can call or text 0420 309200.
Do Newport and Manly salons both offer the same treatments?
Yes, all the treatments on offer are the same at both our beautiful salons except our exclusive nanny service which is currently only available at Manly on Tuesdays. If you would be interested in using this service at Newport or on different days to Tuesday please email us to express your interest hello@beacheslashco.com.au
Will lash extensions hurt?
When correctly applied lash extensions should not hurt. Our team have extensive experience in lash extensions and will ensure you are comfortable throughout your treatment. You should not feel any discomfort during lash application and in fact, we fully encourage a ‘lash nap!’
How will I know if I am allergic to lash extensions?
We offer complimentary patch tests. These take about 5-10 minutes and need to be done at least 48 hours prior to a full set as this is how long it can take for a reaction to occur.
Can I wear mascara with lash extensions?
Definitely not - unless you want them all to fall out! The oil in mascara causes the glue to breakdown and it is really hard to clean mascara from lash extensions. This can lead to a build up of makeup on your lash line which can lead to a nasty eye infection.
Do I need to keep my lash extensions dry?
No! In fact we recommend after the initial 24 hours, that you wash your lashes daily with a lash extension safe foam cleanser. We recommend you dry them with a cool fan and then brush them with a mascara wand for perfect, fluffy lashes!
How long do lash extensions last?
This depends on you and your aftercare. However, we usually recommend infills every 2-3 weeks. Most of our clients are 3 weekly for in-fill appointments.
What lash aftercare do I need to be aware of?
Avoid oils, sunscreen, moisturiser, eye cream, mascara and makeup as well as hot steamy showers. Ensure you wash your lashes thoroughly and brush your lashes daily to keep them healthy and beautigul.
What is your cancellation policy?
All appointments require a deposit paid in advance. This is usually 50% of your treatment price. This is non refundable if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time or do not show. We do not have exceptions to this policy for fairness to all. If we are able to fill the appointment overnight then we will credit your account with the deposit but we cannot guarantee this - we just try our best to advertise the spot and if we have anyone on our wait list they will be contacted. If you are using a gift voucher, this will act as your deposit. As a small business, last minute cancellations and no shows are a great cost to our business and we still have to pay staff wages regardless.
If I am unhappy with my lashes, what should I do?
In the unlikely event, you are not satisfied with your lash treatment, as per our policy which you agree to when you book, you must get in touch with us within 48 hours. We do not provide refunds but we will work with a client in the event of any issue to rectify their concerns. We take before and afters for all treatments which we use to assess any complaint and we will also ask you to attend in person so that we can assess and rectify where needed.
Are there treatments I can’t get when pregnant?
Most of our treatments are safe in pregnancy, however, you cannot get teeth whitening or cosmetic tattooing when pregnant or breast feeding.
